Netflix has released the date announcement trailer for the fourth and final season of Dear White People.
Adapted from the 2014 film of the same name, the series revolves around a group of socially conscience Black students navigating cultural biases, misguided activism and injustice on their predominately white Ivy league campus.
According to the official synopsis, the fourth season is set during senior year at Winchester as well as a “not-so-distant, post-pandemic future” and sees Sam and Lionel “looking back at the most formative (and theatrical) year of their lives,”.
The series stars Logan Browning, Brandon P. Bell, Antoinette Robertson, DeRon Horton, John Patrick Amedori, Ashley Blaine Featherson and Marque Richardson.
The trailer features the 1995 song “This Is How We Do It”, which marked Montell Jordan’s debut single and was included on his debut studio album of the same name.
Dear White People Vol. 4, the musical final season comes to Netflix September 22.
