Jif Peanut Butter has enlisted Ludacris to star in its newest ad campaign.
The spot, directed by Award-winning music director Dave Meyers, opens with the rapper in the recording studio trying to perform a song dubbed “The return”. After several failed attempts, he takes a spoonful of Jif peanut butter and everything changes instantly. He finds a new flow which everyone loves, including his daughter and Gunna, one of the hottest rappers of today, who exclaims “that flow crazy”.
The end of the commercial sees Ludacris ready to take the stage for a huge concert and noticing that his jar of Creamy Jif Peanut Butter is empty. However, his day is saved when he received a brand new jar of Jif Peanut Butter.
Thus, Ludacris recorded and released his first single in over six years, “Butter.ATL” (produced by the legendary producer She’kspere).
The peanut butter brand has also announced the launch of the Jif Medallion, a design collaboration between Ludacris and jeweler to the stars Icebox. Two limited-edition diamond and ruby Jif jars were created, one for Ludacris and one for a special use, which Jif will be announcing at a later date.
Consumers are also encouraged to take on the JifRapChallenge for a chance to duet with Ludacris himself. All they need to do is watch Ludacris rap a verse from his new track “Butter.ATL” then take a delicious spoonful of Jif Peanut Butter and rap a verse with their new-found flow and post the video on TikTok. Participants can rap his lyrics, freestyle their own, rap battle their friends, or get creative.
Jif’s Creamy Peanut Butter is not available only in jar, but also in a new squeezable pouch available as a 4 pack – 13 OZ Pouch, 13 OZ Pouch, and 10 pack – 13 OZ Pouch. Fans can also have their favorite peanut butter to go with Jif To Go Peanut Butter, which can include 3, 8 or 36 cups of Creamy Peanut Butter.
