McDonald’s promotes the BTS Meal in a new commercial.
The spot features boy band members in a McDonald’s restaurant, listing the menu items included in the meal named after them. Thus, we learn that the BTS Meal consists of 10 piece Chicken McNuggets, a Coke, medium Fries, and 2 exclusive sauces picked by BTS: Sweet Chili sauce and Cajun (McDonald’s says the sauces are inspired by popular recipes from its restaurants in South Korea, where the K-pop superstars are from).
The song playing at the end of the ad is the band’s latest single, “Butter”. The dance pop track was released on May 18 and helped BTS break YouTube record for 14-hour views.
The BTS Meal, launched on Wednesday, May 26th, is available for a limited time at participating McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S., the Bahamas, Canada, and eight other countries. In May and June it will be available in nearly 50 countries.
In the U.S., the meal can be ordered in restaurants and drive-throughs, through mobile order in the McDonald’s app or the chain’s delivery service, McDelivery.
