Just Eat celebrates its sponsorship of the UEFA tournament in a new campaign, created by Dark Horses, which is based around the idea of delivering joy and the feeling you get when your Just Eat Takeaway.com meal arrives.
One of the latest spots, titled “The Delivery,” features an orange-clad delivery guy who rides the bike across the city to deliver a pizza to a customer. Juxtaposed footage sees football players during an UEFA game.
The song used in the ad is DJ Shadow’s 2019 single “Rocket Fuel (Feat. De La Soul)”, from his sixth studio album, “Our Pathetic Age,” which also includes collaborations with Run the Jewels, Ghostface Killah, Nas, and Raekwon, among others.
Dark Horses, the agency that won the company’s UEFA Euro 2020 sponsorship activation business earlier this year, has also created a spot which showed a customer receiving from an orange-clad delivery person not only his meal, but also two tickets to a game. The lucky man can’t help from cheering and embarking on a knee slide across the house.
The online food delivery company signed a deal with UEFA in November 2020 and became the tournament’s Official Food Delivery Platform Partner. Just Eat will support a broad range of men’s, women’s, youth and futsal competitions, including women’s football across all age groups, through to mid-2025, and will also partner with UEFA’s Together #WePlayStrong programme, which is aimed at encouraging more girls and women to play football.
