Tostitos 5 Ways to Cinco Danny Trejo Commercial

Tostitos has enlisted Danny Trejo to promote its Tostitos Habanero, Scoops and Sweet Lime & Sea Salt varieties, as well as its 5 Ways to Cinco Sweepstakes, in a new commercial.

The spot features Trejo in a meeting with the persons who reviewed the script he wrote, called “Five Ways to Cinco”.

The woman has some questions because she finds some of the scenes quite intriguing and awkard, but the man near her, who’s enjoying a bag of Tostitos Scoops, says he loved the script.

The woman reads a few lines, asking for clarifications from Trejo, who is apparently a Tostitos Chips and salsa lover and has found a way to insert them in the novel at least three times.

The commercial ends with the voiceover saying the tagline “Get in on the action”, while some of the Tostitos chips varieties – including Tostitos Habanero, Scoops and Sweet Lime & Sea Salt – are showcased on the screen.

The brand has also launched a Sweepstakes called 5 Ways to Cinco, which gives participants the chance to win one of hundreds of prizes, including a chance to virtually meet Danny Trejo during a Cinco de Mayo party. Other prizes include a Cinco de Mayo party pack, Danny Trejo Cookbook, Bluetooth Speaker and more.
