McDonald’s UK promotes its Breakfast menu in a new advert, created by Leo Burnett.
The spot, dubbed “Own Little Worlds,” features a diverse cast of different ages, races, and walks of life, including office staff, tired parents, builders renovating a church, a nurse after a busy shift, and a couple heading home after a night out, eating their McDonald’s breakfast. Some of them enjoy a freshly delivered Sausage and Egg McMuffin, others hash browns, and more, and have their surroundings transformed by a spotlight into a world of enjoyment as soon as they take a bite.
At the end of the video the tagline “Breakfast, Done Properly” flashes across the screen.
Serving as soundtrack is Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)”.
McDonald’s Breakfast menu also includes Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin, Sausage McGriddles, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel, Big Breakfast, Hotcakes, Hotcakes and Sausage, Sausage Burrito, Fruit & Maple Oatmeal, more.
The “Breakfast, Done Properly” campaign also includes out-of-home executions that feature the chain’s famous golden arches but no name and the “aftermath” of enjoying a McDonald’s breakfast, with only the wrapper and crumbs left over.
This is not the first ad campaign launched by the fast-food chain during the coronavirus pandemic. The first one was titled “Welcome back” and celebrated the return to the high street following the first leg of lockdown in July.
