After the ad in which Wendy’s is interrupting all scheduled broadcasts to announce a “Major Bag Alert,” the fast-food chain has dropped a new commercial for its $5 Biggie Bag.
The ad is set on a spacecraft and features the crew receiving a “Major Bag Alert” (the song is DJ Khaled’s 2017 single of the same name, feat. Migos. The captain is informed that this alert refers to Wendy’s $5 Biggie Bag, which includes a Bacon Double Stack, (four) nuggets, (small) fries, and a (small) drink. Initially left speechless, he then asks his assistant to re-calibrate the starship so that they would get as soon as possible to the nearest Wendy’s restaurant.
The spot ends with the four Biggie Bag items showcased on the screen, as well as with the slogan “Secure the Bag”.
The $5 Biggie Bag is a limited-time deal which was first introduced in 2019. Last year, though, the bag included Crispy Chicken Sandwich and 10 nuggets, due to beef shortage.
