MINI wanted to find out how would a fashion legend Launch a MINI and, for the purpose, handed over the keys of the brand new MINI Electric to Sir Paul Smith.
The automaker has released the video of Sir Paul Smith as took the MINI Cooper SE 3-Door Hatch out for a spin around London and put pink tape all over it with ideas about how he will make his own MINI. “Sustainability is something we’re very keen on at Paul Smith. Now, that there’s an electric one I feel I’m doing my part for the environment,” Sir Paul Smith says, describing the EV as silent, “beautifully done”.
MINI had a different approach this year for the car launch so, instead of the traditional showroom launch, the brand asked Sir Paul Smith and 7 other very different people from all over the world to launch the new MINI in a way that’s unique to them. Thus, viewers can take a road trip down memory lane with Rankin as he goes back to his roots with Rankin, see the MINI Convertible launched by Tuba Geckil, the MINI Covertible launched by Lawkena, the MINI John Cooper Works launched by Briana King, the MINI John Cooper Works launched by the Cooper Family, the MINI Electric launched by Miquela, and the MINI 3-Door Hatch launched by Jonathan Jay Lee.
