Golden Globe and Emmy-winner and Academy Award-nominee Jon Batiste shows off his dance moves in the commercial released by Lincoln for the 2021 Nautilus.
The musician is shown grabbing a parking spot and getting out of the midsize luxury SUV, where his new single “I Need You” plays. He then starts dancing on the crosswalk, whose painted lines act like piano keys.
The ad shows some of the car’s luxurious features, including the 13.2″ touchscreen, the elegant piano key shifter, which the musician pretend to tickle, and the dynamic Revel Ultima Audio System.
Eric Peterson, Lincoln marketing communications manager, said in a press release that “This content is a celebration of music and the new Nautilus, and we’re proud to work with an artist who feels as much passion for it as we do”.
The commercial, titled “Ivory Steps,” debuted on Sunday, at the Grammys. The automaker, which is sponsoring the Grammy Awards Radio station on Pandora through the end of the month, held a VIP screening of the show at the rooftop winter cabins in New York City’s Seaport District.
The 2021 Lincoln Nautilus, which is the first in the lineup to get SYNC 4 infotainment, offering thus a Lincoln-exclusive Constellation theme that emulates the look of a skyline at sunset, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM with 360L, a digital owner’s manual, and conversational voice recognition, launched at Lincoln dealerships nationwide in March.
