Infiniti showcases the All-New 2022 INFINITI QX55 in a new commercial, titled “No Apologies”.
The spot features a young woman who is about to participate at a red carpet event and feels pressured by everyone around her, especially by her mother, who makes a scene just minutes before the event. She decides to take control of her life and a first step consists in asking a barber to come to where she is. The man grabs his tools, gets into his 2022 INFINITI QX55 and drives to the woman, even though it’s quite late at night. The woman goes outside, on the sidewalk, and has her long, brown hair cut short when he arrives. She then gets back to the event, sporting her brand new look.
“Lead the way. Let the world catch up.” onscreen lines read at the end of the commercial, which features a song whose lyrics include “I’m gonna do what I wanna do, is what I please”.
The 2022 Infiniti QX55, starting at $47,525, is powered by the same variable-compression turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder found in the compact QX50 SUV and offers all-wheel drive as standard. It features sporty 20-inch wheels, a more aggressive front fascia, and a sloping roofline.
The car, whose expected availability is this spring, will come in three trims: base Luxe, midrange Essential, and loaded Sensory. The Essential trim comes standard with in-dash navigation, a 360-degree exterior camera system, heated and cooled front seats, and a 16-speaker Bose stereo system, ProAssist package, which adds adaptive cruise control, LED headlamps, and blind-spot monitoring.
