GMC has released a new teaser for its GMC HUMMER EV SUV, set to be unveiled next month, on April 3rd.
“If one supertruck can change the world, imagine what two can do,” the voiceover says in the 30-second video, which features a diverse cast of people who are about to witness the arrival of the all-electric revolutionary Detroit-built supertruck. Consumers in a diner, a man in his apartment, a man in the city, where the lighting is impacted by what it seems to be a storm – all stop for a moment to take a look and try to understand what happens.
At the end of the commercial, the voiceover introduces the GMC HUMMER EV SUV and urges viewers to reserve their April 3rd.
Serving as soundtrack is Trent Reznor and Karen O’s cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song”.
The GMC HUMMER EV, introduced as “the world’s first zero emissions, zero limits all-electric supertruck,” will have a GM-estimated 350+ mile range, available crabwalk, which is a revolutionary setting utilizing the car’s 4-wheel steering to drive diagonally at low speeds, helping it to traverse tight trails, available Extract Mode, available Ultravision with underbody cameras, available 1000 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque, infinity roof with modular sky panels, and a suite of driving-assistance technologies, including Super Cruise, which offers hands-free driving with automatic lane changing on compatible roads.
