Desigual showcases its Spring/Summer 2021 collection, titled “El Now”, in a new commercial.
The spot features a diverse cast of models jumping and dancing, while rocking pieces from the new line-up, which is described as “full of life, colour, joy, femininity, and focuses on the essential: being 100% Desigual.” The collection includes ecofriendly feminine and flattering dresses, T-shirts, jeans, beachwear in sustainable fabrics, shorts (for both men and women), sneakers, and more.
Serving as soundtrack is a catchy dance track composed for the ad and titled “El Now”.
“In SS21, our commitment is to live in the Now as it’s the only thing we truly have, we are preparing by feeling very relaxed, comfortable, casual and loving/feeling/accepting who we are: joyful individuals with a present state of mind in everything we do,” this is the message conveyed by the brand for the new season.
According to Desigual, which highlights its ever-growing commitment to natural and recycled fibres, almost 30% of the entire collection is made from sustainable materials. 36% of the fibres used at Desigual are natural fibres (including sustainable fibres like organic cotton, BCI cotton and recycled cotton), 20% are artificial fibres (including sustainable fibres like Tencel Lyocell) and 44% are synthetic fibres (including sustainable fibres like recycled polyester, recycled polyamide and Sorona).
