HLN Crime & Mystery Series Trailer Song

HLN Series - Vengeance: Killer Millionaires

HLN has launched a new ad for its original crime and mystery series coming in 2021, which got the viewers’ attention thanks to the music choice.

The 60-second trailer gives people a glimpse at the shows set to air on HLN this year, spanning a variety of genres and including primetime series “How It Really Happened,” hosted by critically acclaimed actor Hill Harper, which will delve into the Jenny Jones murder, a new season of “Vengeance,” called “Killer Millionaires,” which highlights profiles of millionaires whose greed for living the high life drove them to murder, “Forensic Files II,” the eight-part documentary “Lies, Crimes & Video,” which makes viewers privy to the 911 calls, interrogations, jailhouse recordings, body camera, and surveillance videos captured as part of criminal investigations, “Very Scare People,” hosted by Donnie Wahlberg, which chronicles the twisted lives of some of the most frightening, diabolical characters in recent history, and “Sex & Murder”.

The song used din the trailer is a cover of the Animals’ 1964 single “House of the Rising Sun” reimagined by SYN Music, which recorded live strings in Japan, and performed by Scotish singer Alexina.

This is only one of the four installments in HLN’s “Frozen Moments” series on which the music agency SYN has worked with CNN and Minted Content. The first three used an eerie reimagining of the English folk song “Scarborough Fair”.
