It’s lights out for season two of “At Home with Baker” and Progressive celebrates it with a dedicated spot, in which Mayfield turns the lights off.
The spot opens with the Cleveland Browns QB and his wife, Emily Wilkinson, reading in bed before going to sleep. As he decides to to go to sleep, Emily reminds him that the light is still on, which means he has to take care of it. He grabs a set of keys and sets out on what it turns out to be quite a mission. He walks down a long hallway and then across the stadium to get to the lighting panel.
“It’s your house. Protect it with Progressive.” an onscreen line reads at the end of the commercial.
The Village-based insurance company announced a new marketing partnership with Mayfield, selected first overall by the Browns in the 2018 draft, prior to the 2019 season. During season 2 of “At Home with Baker,” which debuted on September 10, 2020 and aired on national TV and digital channels, the football star’s home was FirstEnergy Stadium. There, Baker and Emily dealt with a variety of “homeowners moments” – he, for instance, navigated a stadium concourse and caught a perfect newspaper toss in stride, scrambled to cover the “lawn furniture” (aka “the stands”) before a storm, and more.
In addition to Emily, the second season also featured Browns rookie Jedrick Wills.
