Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming original series Ginny & Georgia.
Created by Sarah Lampert, the show revolves around free-spirited Georgia Miller and her two kids, Ginny and Austin, who move north in search of a fresh start but find that the road to new beginnings can be bumpy. They settle in a new town, but “the secrets in Georgia’s past may jeopardize their future,” the official synopsis reveals.
The cast includes Brianne Howey as Georgia, Antonia Gentry as Ginny, Diesel La Torraca, Jennifer Robertson, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Raymond Ablack, Scott Porter, Katie Douglas, and more.
In one of the scenes included in the trailer, which has the “tagline” “Finding themselves before the truth finds them,” Ginny says about her mom that she “deals with her problems by ignoring them, bundling them up and packing it away.” Georgia tells her teenage daughter “We live in a man’s world and it is exhausting to exist in a world where you matter less”.
The song used in the trailer is the 2019 “Win” by indie-pop banger Nasty Cherry, from their “Season 1” debut EP.
Ginny & Georgia arrives on Netflix February 24.
