Netflix has released a teaser trailer for its higly-anticipated series Firefly Lane, starring Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke.
According to the official synopsis, the show, adapted from Kristin Hannah’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, revolves Tully (Heigl) and Kate (Chalk), who meet as young girls on Firefly Lane and become inseparable best friends throughout 30 years of ups and downs.
The cast also includes Ben Lawson, Beau Garrett, Yael Yurman, and Ali Skovbye.
The trailer includes footage of the two friends in high-school, at age 14, and three decades later, when they are in their 40s, as they navigate love, marriage, career highs and lows, and their relationship as friends. Shots of them hugging each other, laughing together, dancing, and spending time together are scored by a catchy tune. “You are not alone. You will never be alone. You are fucking stuck with me forever,” Heighl’s character tells her longtime friend in the opening of the trailer, which also features her, in another scene, falling through a glass table on which she was standing.
Firefly Lane arrives on Netflix in 2021, on February 3rd.
