Ralph Lauren highlights that “Family is who you love” in its Christmas ad, which celebrates love and aims to highlight that “Family is about the choices and moments you make, the traditions, belonging, and hope you create”.
The spot features a diverse cast of couples and families that represent a broad spectrum of family – from multigenerational families to same-sex couples to chosen families, captured by multiple creators from around the world. Among the protagonists of the fashion label’s Christmas campaign are members of the Work to Ride, a nonprofit community-based program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which provides children and young adults of all backgrounds the opportunity to learn the sport of polo, the Abdul family from Medina, Saudi Arabia, members of the French dance company La Marche Bleue, which reimagines hip-hop and contemporary dance into an organic and poetic art form, the family of English professional rugby player Maro Itoje, Kevis Manzi, a senior sales professional at the Ralph Lauren flagship store in Paris, his partner, Naomi, and their two children, the Myers Family, consisting of Phillip, a Native American model and celebrated artisan from Sante Fe, his mother, Jhane, and grandfather, Jim, who are Comanche, Kiowa, and Blackfeet, the Christensen-Rollins family, consisting of Danish model Regitze Christensen and her fiancé, Twahlee Rollins, a professional canine trainer, and more.
The soundtrack music is the 2015 single Homecoming by American singer, songwriter, musician, and author Josh Ritter, from his eighth full-length studio album, “Sermon on the Rocks”.
The “Family is who you love” campaign debuted in 2019 and also featured a diverse cast of couples and families.
