Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming drama series Tiny Pretty Things.
The show, adapted from Sona Charaipotra’s 2016 novel of the same name by Michael MacLennan, is set at Chicago’s most prestigious ballet school, Archer School of Ballet, where, according to the official synopsis, “every dancer is both friend and foe who compete fiercely for coveted roles”. When the star student is found dead, her replacement, a determined dancer named Neveah (Kylie Jefferson), enters a world which turns out to be full of lies, betrayal and cutthroat competition. The trailer suggests that the ballerina found dead was killed and everyone at Archer is a suspect.
The cast also includes Lauren Holly, Casimere, Brennan Clost, Barton Cowperthwaite, Bayardo De Murguia, Damon J. Gillespie, Anna Maiche, Daniela Norman, Michael Hsu Rosen, and Tory Trowbridge.
The song used in the trailer is How The Mighty Fall by 5 Alarm feat. Scarlet Burke.
Season 1 of Tiny Pretty Things, consisting of 10 hour-long episodes, will debut on Netflix this winter, on December 14.
