British retailer Argos has released its Christmas advert, which “celebrates the joy of going back to basics and classic Christmas traditions”.
The spot opens with two young sisters, Daisy and Lucy, who dream to become master magicians and circle Marvin’s Amazing Book of Tricks in the Argos Christmas catalog. What follows is an amazing performance, called “An Evening with AbracaDaisy & The Incredible Lucy,” for their most adoring fans – their family and relatives. The girls produce mince pies from a bucket, summon a flying machine, make a trick with their dog, and turn the house into a huge theater with multiple chandeliers, receiving – at the end – a standing ovation.
The soundtrack music is Gary Barlow’s new single “Incredible”.
The advert is scheduled to debut on November 1, at 8PM, on ITV’s Family Fortunes.
“This Christmas families are looking for escapism after what has been a challenging year for so many. Our magic show highlights how a simple gift can make a special memory. As the tricks get bigger, Lucy and Daisy dream bigger and, as if by magic, we see more of their family enjoy the show with them,” Rob Quartermain, Senior Campaign Manager for Argos, said in a press statement about the retailer’s Christmas campaign.
