Kohl’s Christmas Commercial Song – Feat. Little Girl & Her Neighbor

Kohl's Christmas Commercial Girl

Kohl’s has released its Christmas 2020 commercial, highlighting that, with respect to other years, when we just wished for things like toys and tech, this year we wish for happiness, understanding and kindness more than ever.

The spot tells the heartwarming story of a little girl who befriends the lady who lives near her. The kid is happy to meet her and learn new things about her using messages written on pieces of cardboard, but one day her enthusiasm vanishes when the neighbor does not appear anymore at her window to reveal her name.

Time passes by and winter holidays come. On Christmas morning, when everyone is around the Christmas tree, eager to unwrap presents, she rushes to her bedroom’s window, to see if the lady came back home. When the latter shows up at her window, as well, holding a card with the question “Did you get what you wished for?”, the girl nods happily.

The commercial, which features Willie Nelson’s 2001 single The Rainbow Connection, ends with the tagline “Give with all your heart” flashing across the screen.

“During what has been a challenging year in so many ways, togetherness and time with loved ones – whether family and friends or neighbors and community members – means so much more this holiday. Kohl’s is inspiring families everywhere to embrace the spirit of the season by connecting with one another, cherishing moments of joy and creating new memories together, however that works for them,” said Greg Revelle, Kohl’s chief marketing officer, in a press statement about the retailer’s holiday campaign, which also includes Live Digital Experiences, Snapchat AR engagements, virtual holiday pop-up shop, Disney activations, and custom gifting on Pinterest.

Kohl’s has also announced that it would donate $5 million, this season, through Kohl’s Cares to nonprofits all across the country that enrich family health and wellness. Among the benefiting nonprofit organizations are American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, local chapters of Alliance for a Healthier Generation, Mental Health America, National Alliance on Mental Health, and National Park Foundation, as well as local hospitals and food banks all across the country.
