Kay Jewelers promotes its engagement rings in a new commercial.
The spot tells the story of a young couple from the day they get engaged (the engagement ring is from Kay Jewelers and is offered by the man sitting on one knee) to the day they celebrate 50 years of marriage. Throughout the video key milestones in their life, such as the birth of their child, are marked by a piece of jewelry from Kay.
“Someday I’m going to marry you. Someday we’ll buy that little place on Ellsworth. Some days will be roughers than others. Someday, 50 years will have gone by and I’ll ask you to marry me, all over again,” the voiceover says on the 30-second ad.
Serving as soundtrack is a cover of the iconic single Time After Time, performed by Eva Cassidy.
