Cadillac teamed up with James Blake to provide fans a special studio quality first listen of his new song “Do You Ever” in the 2021 Escalade.
The automaker has released a teaser, which informed that, following COVID protocol, groups of fans from the same household were treated by Cadillac and James Blake to an exclusive first listen of his new EP, “Before,” through the 2021 Cadillac Escalade’s available AKG Studio Reference 36-speaker sound system.
The song playing in the ad is Blake’s single “Do You Ever”, which was released two days ago. His show took place in a hangar, where Blake performed at a grand piano on a circular stage, surrounded by spotlights.
Talking about the Cadillac spot, Blake said “As a musician I’m lucky to be able to do what I love and bring people music however I can, so finding a creative way to bring my new EP to fans with Cadillac made me happy, especially considering the current circumstances. With live music on pause, not only did it feel incredible to be back on stage again, but it provided some of my fans with a properly unique music experience. Everyone wins”.
Earlier this year, the luxury automaker appointed Regina King as brand ambassador for the 2021 Escalade in the “Never Stop Arriving” campaign. The Oscar and Emmy Award-winning actress turned filmmaker delivers a powerful message in one of the spots she stars in, declaring that “success isn’t just about where you want to get to. It’s also about how you get there.” The commercial, which carries the tagline “Never Stop Arriving,” features the song “Nobody Speak” by DJ Shadow feat. Run The Jewels.
