Adobe Photoshop Commercial - Girl on the Subway

Adobe has launched a new ad for Photoshop, which is “an ode to the places our imagination can take us, even when the world puts constraints and limitations on us.”

The spot, created by agency 72andSunny Los Angeles and directed by Antoine Bardou-Jacquet of Partizan, is titled “Fantastic Voyage” and follows a young woman on her daily commute, who uses Photoshop to reimagine the world around her, transforming her mundane ride into a fantastic voyage. The floor becomes a green field and she turns the people around her in a variety of characters by giving them makeovers. One of the commuters gets a cartoonish makeover, another one becomes a classic art painting, and another one gets a poodle-inspired hairdoo. The woman also brings in some new ones, including a penguin and a teddy bear, and turns the city into a colorful world, featuring pink gorillas, huge flamingos, moving skyscrapers, and more.

Serving as soundtrack is Rolling Stones’ single She’s a Rainbow.

The commercial is set to run in the US and UK across broadcast, digital and social.

AJ Joseph, chief creative director at Adobe, said in a statement that “Nothing is off limits to your imagination. ‘Fantastic Voyage’ showcases Adobe Photoshop as more than just a tool, it’s a vehicle to help you reimagine our world’s canvas.”
