Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming film Love, Guaranteed.
The movies, directed by Mark Steven Johnson, revolves around earnest lawyer Susan (Rachael Leigh Cook), who – in her attempt to save her small law firm, takes a high-paying case from Nick (Damon Wayans Jr.), a charming new client who wants to sue a dating website that guarantees love. According to the official synopsis, “as the case heats up, so do Susan and Nick’s feelings for each other”.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse at Susan and Nick’s first encounter, when Susan finds out that Nick went on 986 dates through the Love, Guaranteed dating website, but none of them has provided him love. Realizing that this case isn’t going to be a walk in the park, she agrees to create an account for herself and try the world of online dating because “you can’t win a case over something you know nothing about”. However, after only two dates and one no-show, she finds herself already exhausted, the trailer reveals. The trailer also shows that she and Nick start having feelings for each other.
The song used in the trailer is “Everything Is Better With You” by Jason Tarver & Thomas Greenwood.
The film, which also stars Heather Graham, launches on Netflix this fall, on September 3.
