NBA launched the official commercial for the 2019-20 NBA Restart campaign, titled “Whole New Game”.
The spot, which aims to reconnect fans with a re-imagined NBA game, features writer, producer and actress Issa Rae reminding fans all over the world that the pure NBA basketball they know and love is back and like they have never seen it before. While on the screen viewers are shown highlights of some of the most exciting moments of the 2019-20 season prior to the hiatus, Issa is building anticipation for the restart of the season by informing fans that 22 teams, all in one place, are ready to make history in a “Whole New Game”.
The commercial will be translated in more than 10 languages including Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai.
The “Whole New Game” campaign will also include other three commercials launching throughout the remainder of the season, that are set to run across TV, digital and social platforms.
NBA Restart begins July 30th, on ABC, ESPN, TNT, and NBATV.
