Amazon has released a series of new ads for its voice assistant, Alexa.
One of them opens with an opera singer who’s performing Mozart’s Queen of the Night aria in a palace. At some point, sounds of chairs scuffling and people clamoring are heard before she is interrupted by a man who it soon turns out to have traveled back in time to ask her to sing “something more fun”. She starts singing an operatic version of Donna Summer’s 1977 hit single “I Feel Love” and the man, who’s then shown in his backyard, lounging on a chaise long, asks Alexa to add the new song to his “Summer Vibes” playlist.
The commercial, titled “A Voice Is All You Need,” ends with Alexa adding the song to “Summer Vibes”.
