Walmart has launched its Back to School campaign and invites you to save on school supplies, backpacks, A+ tech and more with free curbside pickup.
The spot titled “School List,” featuring a mother who ordered online school supplies and went to pick them at Walmart curbside, urges you to pick up your school list and save on school supplies or school-in-the-backyard supplies.
“However you go back, we’ve got your back,” the voiceover says at the end of the 15-second ad, which also sees the woman and her daughter doing a chemistry experiment together in the backyard.
The soundtrack music is the Motown song “Get Ready”, written by Smokey Robinson, which became a hit single in 1966 as performed by the American vocal group The Temptations (and included on their fourth studio album, “Gettin’ Ready”).
On Walmart’s website, customers can shop by grade, from preschool to elementary school, middle school to high school, instruments, sports gear, and more to keep children engaged outside of class. Customers can also have their order delivered right to their doorstep (note: the order must be of a minimum of $30), and enjoy free curbside pickup.
