The trailer for the Apple TV+ drama series Little Voice has been released.
The show, from producer J.J. Abrams and award-winning team behind Broadway’s “Waitress,” Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson, revolves around Bess King (Brittany O’Grady), a young woman in her 20s living in New York City, who’s “struggling to fulfill her dreams while navigating rejection, love and complicated family issues”.
The series features original music from Bareilles, who also served as a co-creator, and also stars Sean Teale, Colton Ryan, Chuck Cooper, Shalini Bathina, Kevin Valdez and Phillip Johnson Richardson.
The trailer features O’Grady’s character as she’s working several jobs – including dog walking and teaching kids music – while writing songs for herself. Judging by one of the scenes, she has a crush on a guy who’s living with his girlfriend and pushes away the one who really likes her.
The songs playing in the trailer are “I Don’t Know Anything” performed by O’Grady and “More Love” performed by O’Grady and Colton Ryan.
Little Voice, described as “a story about finding your authentic voice – and the courage to use it,” premieres Friday, July 10, with new episodes releasing weekly.
