Wendy’s has announced that it would change up the breakfast game in the commercial that announces the launch of its Breakfast menu.
The spot gives viewers a glimpse at the fast-food chain’s new breakfast menu, which consists of nine sandwiches, including a morning version of its famed Baconator, Wendy’s Classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich, Wendy’s Maple Bacon Chicken Croissant, Wendy’s Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Wendy’s Bacon, Egg & Swiss Croissant, Wendy’s Classic Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich, Wendy’s Sausage, Egg & Swiss Croissant, and Wendy’s Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. There is also a new blend of coffee, an iced Frosty-ccino and new sides, such as potato wedges.
The ad takes a jab at competitors offering sandwiches made with frozen, folded eggs and pre-cooked bacon and urges consumers to forget those and try Wendy’s menu items, which have fresh cracked eggs. “One bite and it will be your next favorite, guaranteed,” the voiceover says, also saying that Wendy’s breakfast “eats other breakfasts for breakfast” and encouraging viewers to order by 10AM and announcing that deliveries can be made by GrubHub, Postmates and Doordash.
Wendy’s Breakfast menu launched on March 2nd and the fast-food chain celebrated the moment by giving away a free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit for customers who placed an order on Wendy’s app. The offer was valid until April 6.
Wendy’s hopes breakfast will also be a big growth opportunity, predicting that sales of Breakfas Menu items will encompass 10% of its daily sales.
