
Subaru promotes the 2020 Subaru Outback in a new commercial, that focuses on the 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio (available on select models).
The spot, titled “Conductor,” opens with a dog that follows with his eyes something, while in the background Carmen Suite No.2-II. Habanera composed by Georges Bizet and performed by CHA Medical Center plays. At the video goes on, it turns out his human friend was playing the conductor using a dry spicy sausage as a baton.
“12-speaker Harman Kardon audio. In the most advanced Subaru Ouback ever,” the voiceover says at the end of the commercial.
The all-new Outback, completely redesigned for 2020, comes standard with a 2.5-liter horizontally opposed “Boxer” four-cylinder that produces 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. The interior features simulated leather stitched together on dash, doors and center console, as well as a massive vertically oriented 11.6-inch touchscreen.
Pricing starts at $27,655, including $900 destination charge and all-wheel drive.
