STARZ has released the trailer for its upcoming MURDER series Hightown.
The show, from executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer and creator Rebecca Cutter (an alum of Gotham and The Mentalist), is set in Cape Cod and follows a self-destructive addict (Monica Raymund) who intertwines herself in a criminal investigation after finding a dead body on the beach. “Secrets always surface, no matter how deep they’re buried,” the official description reads.
The cast also includes James Badge Dale, Riley Voelkel, Shane Harper, and Amaury Nolasco.
The trailer features Raymund’s character as she stumbles upon a woman’s dead body on the beach and continues with glimpses into her life after this moment.
The song used in the trailer is “I Know Where The Sun Rises” by Aloe Blacc & AG.
Season 1 of Hightown, consisting of eight episodes, is scheduled to premiere next month, on May 17.
