Samsung highlights that “We may be apart right now. But we won’t let distance stop us living together.” The tech giant urges people, in its latest commercial, to “Stay apart, stay together,” and delivers the message that “We’ll get through this, together”.
The spot opens with a panoramic view of a city that seems abandoned, with no cars driving down the streets, and continues with footage of empty streets and offices, while in the background plays an original song whole lyrics are as follows: “Life is too far to walk alone. You can’t do it on your own. But time will show. The people gonna be ok, storms will never come this day, they’s how us how bad we need each other, how bad we need each other, don’t you know how bad we need each other”.
The emotional 60-second spot also features a diverse cast of people staying home and doing various activities, from
studying to working, dancing, cooking, learning to play instruments, exercising, keeping in touch with their dear ones through video calls, and more. One of the scenes shows a woman using a drone to send a toilet paper roll to someone, at night.
