HBO Max has released the trailer for its full-length scripted series Love Life, from creator and co-showrunner Sam Boyd (In a Relationship), starring Anna Kendrick.
The romantic comedy anthology series, described as being “about the journey from first love to last love, and how the people we’re with along the way make us into who we are when we finally end up with someone forever,” features the Oscar nominee actress as Darby, a young woman on her quest for love. According to the streaming service, this series will follow a different protagonist’s quest for love each season, with each half-hour episode telling the story of one of their relationships”.
The cast also includes Zoë Chao, Sasha Compere, Peter Vack, Lesley Manville, and Scoot McNairy.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse into Darby’s life and her relationships, while in the background Australian musician Evie Irie’s 2019 single “The Optimist” plays.
Love Life is set to launch on Wednesday, May 27, on HBO Max, the same day the platform will be launched, too.
