HBO Max has released a teaser trailer for its competition series Legendary.
According to the streaming platform, in the show, which pulls from the underground ballroom community, “voguing teams (aka “houses”) must compete in unbelievable balls and showcase sickening fashion in order to achieve ‘legendary’ status.” The cast includes MC Dashaun Wesley and DJ MikeQ, as well as celebrity judges Law Roach, Jameela Jamil, Leiomy Maldonado, and Megan Thee Stallion.
The trailer opens with Dashaun Wesley saying “Welcome to Ballroom” and features members of the eight voguing teams that will serve the competition showing off their dance moves to the rhythms of upbeat music. “The goal is to be legendary, honey,” Leiomy Maldonado is heard saying. Wesley’s voice is featured several times. At some point, he tells contestants “One of you will make history, while the other one will become history”.
Legendary is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, May 27, on HBO Max, the same day the platform will be launched, too.
