The brand of dishwashing liquid Dawn Dish Soap highlights, in its latest commercial, that “It Gets Better at Dawn”.
The 30-second ad opens features a wild duckling as it is washed with Dawn after being saved from a place affected by oil spills. The hands of a rescue worker are shown as they wash with Dawn other wild animals, too. “Rescue workers trust Dawn” an onscreen line reads, with another one following and explaining that Dawn is “though on grease, yet gentle”.
The end of the commercial, which sees the duckling freed, together with its family, to their natural habitat, and the tagline “Dawn helps wildlife,” is scored by the 2020 single “It Gets Better at Dawn” by Marina Sneider (a composer for commercials and television), which was composed specifically for Dawn.
This is not the first time the Procter & Gamble-owned brand uses this footage to promote its dishwash. A previous spot highlighted that “Dawn Cleans More Than Dishes” by helping bring wildlife back to life.
Dawn says that, for over 30 years, it has played an important role in rescuing and releasing more than 75.000 wild animals affected by oil pollution. Thousands of bottles have been donated to The Marine Mammal Center and International Bird Rescue so that wildlife rescue workers could use them for cleaning birds affected by oil.
The Dawn range of products include a variety of scents, from citrus to fruit to herbal scents, exotic scents, fresh
scents, original scents and natural scents.
