Butterfinger highlights the “crispety, crunchety, and peanut-buttery” of its Butterfinger bar in a new ad.
“Crispy, crunchy, peanut-buttery. Nobody lays a finger on my Butterfinger,” the voiceover says on the 6-second spot, which features a Butterfinger bar as it is broken down in two pieces to showcase the ingredients that make it crispy, crunchy and peanut-buttery.
The soundtrack is “Rumble and Sway,” a song by the British singer-songwriter Jamie N Commons, from his 2016 “Rumble and Sway” EP.
Last year, the Ferrero-owned brand launched a new ad campaign to announce the improved recipe that turned the known Butterfinger into a “better Butterfinger”, thanks to “a higher-quality chocolate coating with more milk and cocoa for a richer and creamier taste,” and carefully-selected U.S. grown peanuts. That was the first time in more than a decade Butterfinger, whose history dates back to 1923, changed its recipe.
The protagonist of the campaign was the Butterfinger alien, who escapes the secret lab he was kept in and embarks on a road trip to the city. After stealing, with his extraterrestrial power, the better Butterfinger bar from a guy’s hands, he says “Nobody lays a finger on my better Butterfinger”.
