Volvo has dropped a new ad to announce that, from now on, every new Volvo model will be electrified.
The spot, titled “For Their Future,” features a diverse cast of children in the backseat of Volvo cars, as they are enjoying a ride on different kinds of weather, from bright sunny days to rainy weather.
Serving as soundtrack is a cover of the 2015 hit single “Lean On,” recorded by Jamaican-American electronic dance music group Major Lazer featuring French DJ and record producer DJ Snake.
In a previous commercial, that featured Roger Alm, the President of Volvo Trucks, the automaker announced the launch of four new trucks strong enough to carry each other. The 80-second film, titled “The Tower”, shows Alm as he is standing on top of a tower consisting of four trucks (the Volvo FMX, the Volvo FH, the Volvo FH16 and the Volvo FM) stacked on top of each other. The soundtrack is the 1994 song “Conquest of Paradise” by Greek composer Vangelis (which served as soundtrack for Ridley Scott’s 1992 film 1492: Conquest of Paradise).
