After advertising the launch of the mobile streaming platform and giving viewers a glimpse into the shows and movies available for streaming, Quibi has dropped trailers for specific shows and movies.
One of the latest trailers is for “SKRRT With Offset” car series, which will be hosted by Kiari “Offset” Cephus. The member of the hip-hop group Migos will talk to various celebrities about their cars, the stories behind them and will also share a unique “one on one” auto experience.
The show, which comes from Scott Weintrob (the creator of Netflix’s hit show “Fastest Car” and director of “Top Gear”) and STXtelevision, will also feature appearances from Cardi, Dapper Dan, and Quavo.
The song used in the trailer is “Break!” by Sonic Beat.
Quibi’s lineup of drama, comedy, reality TV shows, and more also includes the survival thriller Survive starring Sophie Turner, the horror thriller The Stranger, the remake of the Harrison Ford film The Fugitive, starring Kiefer Sutherland, the cat-and-mouse thriller Most Dangerous Game, starring Liam Hemsworth and Christoph Waltz, a reimagining of the reality prank series “Punk’d,” and more.
Designed to be viewed on mobile devices with content that can be consumed in 10 minutes or less, Quibi is set to launch on April 6, with a two-tier pricing system – $4.99 with ads and $7.99 without ads.
The entertainment platform, whose name comes from “quick bites,” made its commercial debut with a 30-second Super Bowl commercial right after the kickoff. The spot, titled “Bank Heist,” showed a group of bank robbers who are left with four to 10 minutes to spare by their driver, who’s in a “Pest Control” van watching something on Quibi.
