American Family Insurance advertises its “you’ve been dreaming about this car since you were eight” policy in a new
commercial.
The spot, created by BBDO, opens with actor Joe Burke driving a red car around a house, jumping off railings, plowing through carpet, drifting on the table and sliding through milk. As the end goes on, it turns out Burke is actually the adult version of a boy who’s playing with his favorite toy car.
The commercial ends with the voiceover saying “the ‘you’ve been dreaming about this car since you were eight’ policy, from American Family Insurance” and adding the tagline “Insure Carefully, Dream Fearlessly”.
The soundtrack music is the hit 1980 single “You Make My Dreams” by American duo Hall & Oates, taken from their ninth studio album, “Voices”.
