The trailer for the upcoming animation film Rumble has been released.
The movie, which marks the directorial debut of animator Hamish Grieve, is set in a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes and follows teenage Winnie as she seeks to follow in her father’s footsteps by coaching a loveable underdog monster into a champion.
The trailer, which opens with the famous “Let’s get ready to rumble” tagline, features Tentacular, a shark-octopus-humanoid monster who is an undefeated wrestling champion making his way into an arena. On another side, teenager Winnie sets out on a challenging mission: to transform an underdog monster into a challenger worthy of facing off against Tentacular. He doesn’t seem to have many chances, but Winnie believes there’s a champion inside of him.
The voice talent includes Will Arnett, Terry Crews, Geraldine Viswanathan, Tony Danza, Susan Kelechi Watson, and Ben Schwartz.
The songs used in the trailer are “Sirius/Eye In The Sky” by The Alan Parsons Project (playing in the opening) and “Time Of Your Life” by L.A. Session Singers.
Rumble hits theaters in 2021, on January 29.
