The trailer for ITV2’s hit series Love Island has been released. The reality show, which brings together singles on an island, where they get to spend 8 weeks to find love, returns in January 2020 with its Winter edition. For the first time ever, Love Island, which usually takes place in sunny Spain, during the summer, is heading to Cape Town, South Africa.
The promo opens with Scottish comedian Iain Stirling instructing winter to “Do one” and goes on with presenter Caroline Flack saying “Sorry winter, you’re just not our type”.
Serving as soundtrack is the 2019 single “Lose Control” by Italian production trio Meduza, English singer Becky Hill and British production trio Goodboys.
Flack won’t return as host for the upcoming season of the popular reality show since she was arrested and charged with assault by beating in the early hours of Friday, 13 December, after reports of a man being assaulted.
Love Island 2019 star Maura Higgins, one of the favorites to replace Caroline, posted a photo of herself in a sunny unknown location beside a pool, along with the message “Do one, winter,” which is the new tagline from the Love Island 2020 trailer. However, three days ago, Laura Whitmore was confirmed as new Love Island host.
