Hulu has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming original series High Fidelity.
The show, which took inspiration from Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel and the 2000 film of the same name, stars Zoe Kravitz (who also serves as an executive producer) as Rob, a female record store owner in the neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, who – according to the official synopsis, after five heartbreaks, “revisits past relationships through music and pop culture, while trying to get over her one true love”.
The cast also includes Da’Vine Joy Randolph, David H. Holmes, Jake Lacy, and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
The 60-second trailer, set to the rhythms of “Over Here” by Mk.Gee, features Kravitz’s character as she tries to deal with the things coming her way, including a quite bad review of her record store, an encounter with her ex, which didn’t leave her with a good taste (making an analogy with the end of “Braveheart”), the news that her ex moved back to New York, and more.
High Fidelity is set to launch on the streaming service on February 14, 2020.
