“The United States Postal Service goes the extra mile to deliver your packages and mail during the holiday season. We travel all across the country to bring your holidays home.” This is the idea behind the USPS Christmas commercial.
The spot features USPS carriers delivering packages to a diverse cast of people from across the country, to their front door ahead of Christmas, while in the background Perry Como’s 1954 popular song “(There’s No Place Like) Home for the Holidays” is playing.
Earlier this month, the USPS communicated, on its website, the 2019 mailing deadlines for expected delivery by December 25 of cards and gifts to your loved ones, whether they’re overseas or across the country. The Postal Service anticipates December 16 will be the Postal Service’s busiest day online with more than 8.5 million consumers predicted to visit usps.com for help shipping holiday gifts.
In the USPS’s Christmas 2018 commercial, which says that it delivers more holiday packages than anyone, with one exception, features a USPS carrier who arrives at a house to find that Santa has arrived before her.
