Louis Vuitton has enlisted Léa Seydoux and Alicia Vikander to star in its New Classics campaign, captured by fashion photographer Albert Moya.
The two actresses showcase, in a 40-second commercial, a selection of the Maison’s new classic leather handbags, including the Capucines, Twist and Dauphine bags, “whose style and designs echo the energy, strength, and attitude of women of today,” according to the brand.
Serving as soundtrack is the 2018 single “Oh Baby” by American rock band LCD Soundsystem, from their fourth studio album, “American Dream”.
This is not the first time Vikander and Seydoux co-star in a commercial for Louis Vuitton’s “New Classics” handbags. Earlier this year, in April, they appeared in a 30-second ad, alongside Emma Stone, modeling various versions of three coveted pieces – the Capucines, the Twist and the Dauphine. The three young stars are all brand ambassadors for the French luxury label and have fronted previous campaigns, as well. In 2016, Vikander appeared in a campaign for the Twist handbag and in 2018, Stone became officially associated with the Capuccines handbag, during her first campaign for the brand. French actress Lèa Seydoux was announced as a new Louis Vuitton face in 2016. In her first campaign, she was captured by Patrick Demarchelier at the colorful, modernist ranch Cuadra San Cristóbal, clad in creations from the Pre-AW16 collection, cradling Capucines and City Steamer handbags.
