Hulu has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming original series Reprisal.
The hyper-noir revenge thriller series, created by Josh Corbin, stars Abigail Spencer as a “relentless femme fatale who, after being left for dead, sets out to take revenge against her brother and his bombastic gang of gearheads”.
The cast also includes Rodrigo Santoro, Rhys Wakefield, Mena Massoud, Madison Davenport, David Dastmalchian, Gilbert Owuor, W. Earl Brown, Wavyy Jonez, Craig Tate, Shane Callahan, and Rory Cochrane.
“My brother dragged me through a field. They were that convinced I wouldn’t be a threat to them,” Spencer’s character says, recalling the moments she faced death because of her sibling and his gand. “Being underestimated is the greatest advantage you can have over other people,” she also says in another scene.
The song used in the trailer is “Lightning’s Girl” by Nancy Sinatra, from her second studio album, “How Does That Grab You?,” released in 1966.
Season 1 of Reprisal, consisting of 10 episodes, premieres December 6, only on Hulu.
