Volvo highlights, in one of its latest commercials, that the new Volvo XC90 is now available with six captain-style seats.
The spot, dubbed “A Dog’s Journey,” features a family waiting for their dog to show up from a grain field. The father stands near his Volvo XC90, while his wife and two kids – a girl and a boy – are in the car, looking through the window and hoping to see their furry friend coming back to them. Eventually, the pet returns and takes his seat on the third row walking through the wide middle aisle. “Quality time. Recharged.” onscreen line reads at the end of the commercial.
Serving as soundtrack is a cover of the 2015 hit single “Lean On” by the American electronic dance music group Major Lazer and French DJ and record producer DJ Snake featuring vocals from Danish singer MØ.
The 2020 XC90, with a refined but powerful presence, due to the Scandinavian design, features more legroom for third row passengers and more elbow room for those in the second row. The SUV comes with T8 Twin Engine, offering a combined 400 hp from its gasoline and electric powertrain. In terms of cargo space, it ensures 85.7 cu.ft. with the rear seats folded flat.
The XC90 lineup includes the XC90, T5 AWD Momentum, T5 AWD R-Design, and T5 Momentum. Prices start from $48,350.
