CBS’ legal drama Bull returns this fall and a promo has been released, announcing the date: September 23rd.
The show revolves around Dr Jason Bull (former NCIS star Michael Weatherly), a charismatic and confident “trial scientist” who combines psychological analysis, human intuition and computer science to help predict how everyone involved in a trial (jurors, lawyers, witnesses and the accused) will behave.
The cast also includes Freddy Rodriguez as Bull’s brother-in-law, Benjamin “Benny” Colón, Geneva Carr as Marissa Morgan, a neurolinguistics expert from the Department of Homeland Security, Jaime Lee Kirchner as Danielle “Danny” James, the team’s head investigator, and Christopher Jackson as Chunk Palmer, a fashion stylist who prepares clients for court.
According to the official synopsis, in the upcoming season, Bull’s work at TAC suffers without his top attorney, Benny, who quit in reaction to Bull’s romantic reconnection to his ex-wife and Benny’s sister, Isabella (Yara Martinez). In addition, the team faces a difficult time in court as they mount a defense for a young bartender on trial for involuntary manslaughter.
“Figuring out what to say to a jury is what I do,” Bull says in the opening of the 20-second promo, which also sees him stating “I could read this jury on a moonless night with a blindfold on”.
The song used in the promo is “Better As One” by The Heavy.
