The upcoming release of the highly-anticipated Borderlands 3 is advertised in a “Psycho ad,” that aims to highlight that there’s “Nothing like the crisp, refreshing taste of Mayhem”.
The game sees players taking the role of one of the four new Vault Hunters, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization, to fight insane enemies, like the fanatical Calypso Twins, collect loads of loot and save their home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.
Borderlands 3 features new worlds beyond Pandora, each featuring unique environments to explore, including hostile deserts, war-torn cityscapes, deadly bayous, as well as new enemies to destroy. There also is new gear, such as firearms with self-propelling bullet shields, rifles that spawn fire-spewing volcanoes, and guns that grow legs and chase down enemies while hurling verbal insults.
Players can play with anyone at any time online or in split-screen co-op, regardless of their level or mission progress. They can also take down enemies and challenges as a team, but reap rewards that are theirs alone.
The song used in the trailer is Etta James’ iconic single “At Last”.
Borderlands 3 arrives September 13.
