Porsche showcases the new all-electric Taycan in a commercial that carries the #SoulElectrified hashtag.
We may have changed fuel, but at heart lies the same soul that makes the all-electric Taycan a true Porsche, the automaker states in the description of the 60-second ad, which opens with several Porsche models from the brand’s long history, all gathered in a garage, at night. The headlights turn on and music starts playing. Among them there also is the all-electric Taycan, which takes centre stage as it drives across the depot and hits the road through the darkness.
The song playing from the Taycan is the 1964 single “You Really Got Me” by English rock band The Kinks, from their self-titled debut album, released in 1964.
The Porsche Taycan first arrived at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. The 2020 Taycan is the brand’s first ever all-electric production car and arrives with two high-power “Turbo” variants. It uses a new battery-electric drivetrain consisting of a permanent-magnetic synchronous motor on each axle, giving the Taycan all-wheel drive, 670 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque.
