Showtime has released the trailer for its upcoming documentary series Couples Therapy.
The show, from Josh Kriegman, Elyste Steinberg and Eli Despres – the directors of the award-winning documentary “Weiner,” revolves around four real couples as they attend weekly sessions of couples therapy. “Therapist Dr. Orna Guralnik guides couples through the minefield of honest confrontation with each other and with themselves, revealing the real-life struggles usually hidden behind closed doors,” said Showtime.
The song used in the trailer is “I Feel Like I’m Drowning” by NYC singer, songwriter and producer Zachary William “Bill” Dess, known by his stage name Two Feet, from his “A 20 Something F***” album.
Couples Therapy, consisting of nine episodes, is scheduled to premiere on Showtime on September 6. It will also be available starting September 6 for streaming and on partnering on-demand platforms.
